Privacy Policy

Effective date: March 10, 2026

Harvie is a macOS application developed by Joris Noordermeer. This policy explains what data Harvie collects, stores, and shares.

What Harvie does not do

Harvie does not operate a server. There is no backend, no database in the cloud, and no account to sign up for. The app runs entirely on your Mac.

Harvie does not collect, transmit, or store your invoice data, client information, financial details, or Harvest credentials on any external server.

Local data storage

When you use Harvie, the following data is stored locally on your Mac:

You can delete all local data by removing Harvie from your Mac.

Harvest API

Harvie connects directly to the Harvest API (harvestapp.com) using HTTPS with certificate pinning. Your credentials and invoice data travel between your Mac and Harvest’s servers only. Harvie does not proxy, intercept, or relay this data through any intermediary.

Your use of Harvest is subject to Harvest’s own privacy policy.

Analytics

Harvie collects anonymized usage statistics through Aptabase, a privacy-focused analytics service. These statistics help understand which features are used and how the app performs.

The data collected includes:

You can review Aptabase’s privacy practices at aptabase.com/legal/privacy.

Third-party services

Harvie interacts with two external services:

  1. Harvest (harvestapp.com) — to fetch and manage your invoices, at your request.
  2. Aptabase (aptabase.com) — to collect anonymized usage statistics.

No other third-party services receive data from Harvie.

Children’s privacy

Harvie is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at harvie.app/privacy-policy with a new effective date.
